The Board
Ben Williams
Mr. Williams is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of North Wind Capital and chair of the investment committee. In addition to his role at North Wind Capital Mr. Williams is the shareholder and Director of NW Capital Advisors Limited, which is hosted by Vittoria and Partners LLP to conduct regulated investment management activities. Since founding North Wind Capital in 2021, the firm has grown significantly and focuses on European mid-market opportunities.
Mr. Williams has over 20 years of institutional experience investing in European Commercial Real Estate, both directly as principal, and through structured finance and capital markets.
Prior to founding North Wind Capital Mr. Williams was formerly Managing Director for Investments at Meyer Bergman (now Mark Capital Management) responsible for a substantial portfolio of development and value add assets across the UK and Ireland with a GDV in excess of £2bn. Mr. Williams’ previous experience includes acting as a Senior Advisor and member of the investment committee for Capitalise, a credit platform specialising in prime residential development lending. Mr. Williams spent the first 13 years of his career at Deutsche Bank, finishing as a Director within the Real Estate Special Situations team.
Mr. Williams holds M.A. (Hons) from Cambridge University in Land Economy.
Dimitry Mints
Mr. Mints is the Head of Real Estate for North Wind Capital and a member of the investment committee. Prior to joining North Wind Capital Mr. Mints held an array of senior board level positions in institutional real estate businesses including serving as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board at CA Immobilien Anlagen AG from 2014 to 2016 which was listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange with a portfolio valued at €3.5bn.
Mr. Mints was the founder and later assumed the role of Chairman of O1 Properties from 2011 until 2018. O1 Properties was the largest Class A office landlord in Moscow with a tenant list of predominantly multi-national occupiers (including Volkswagen Group, General Electric, Walt Disney, PwC, McKinsey & Company, Deloitte, LG Electronics and Citibank) across the 500,000 sq m portfolio which valued at $4.5 Billion. From 2013-2018 Goldman Sachs purchased and then increased its shareholding in the business up to 12% of the issued share capital of O1 Properties.
As Director of the broader O1 Group Mr. Mints was also instrumental in acquiring various Private/Non-state Pension Fund asset portfolios, the aggregation providing efficiencies for investors.
From 2007 to 2011 Mr. Mints served as Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors of Otkritie Financial Corporation (OFC). Prior to joining OFC Mr. Mints was employed by SDM-Bank in Moscow.
Mr. Mints graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations and holds a degree in international commerce.
Christian Mathews
Mr. Mathews is the Investment Director of North Wind Capital and a member of the investment committee. In addition to his role at North Wind Capital Mr. Mathews is a Director of NW Capital Advisors Limited, which is hosted by Vittoria and Partners LLP to conduct regulated investment management activities.
Prior to joining North Wind Capital, Mr. Mathews spent 17 years at Royal Bank of Scotland in a variety of senior roles in real estate debt origination and asset backed securities within Global Banking and Markets. Mr Mathews has 10 years’ experience in real estate private equity focused on Credit and NPL strategies at firms including Kildare Partners, Park Street Advisors and Broadwater Capital.
Mr. Mathews holds a BSc (Hons) degree from Loughborough University in Management Science.
Clive Bull
Mr. Bull is an independent Director of Feanor Capital Sarl, a Luxembourg securitisation vehicle, and a consultant to North Wind Capital where he advises the Investment Committee on structured finance matters.
Mr. Bull has over 35 years of experience, having held senior commercial real estate positions in the US and Europe at JP Morgan, followed by 16 years as a Director in Deutsche Bank’s European Commercial Real Estate Group. Under his management Deutsche Bank was one of the most prolific issuers of European CMBS, both pre- and post-GFC. Mr. Bull’s extensive capital markets expertise strengthens the firm’s execution capabilities in structuring institutional private credit products.
Mr. Bull holds an MA from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Investment Experts and Specialist Support
Alexander Lobachev
Mr. Lobachev serves as Vice President, Investments at North Wind Capital, where he is responsible for underwriting and execution of new investments.
With over 17 years of experience, Mr. Lobachev has a diverse background spanning commercial and residential real estate investments, private and public equities, private debt, and special situations opportunities.
Before joining North Wind Capital, Mr. Lobachev was Deputy CIO for Private Equity/Venture Capital at EG Capital Advisors, where he also served as an Investment Committee member. In this capacity, he oversaw $70 million in assets under management (AuM) across multiple sectors globally and played a key role in managing a specialised public equity fund with $50 million AuM.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Lobachev spent four years as a senior consultant in Real Estate Advisory Services at Ernst & Young.
Mr. Lobachev holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Credit from the Finance Academy, Moscow.
Irina Korotkikh
Ms. Korotkikh is the In-house Counsel at North Wind Capital and manages legal and corporate infrastructure and supports the firm's debt financing and equity transactions. Ms. Korotkikh oversees legal and regulatory compliance matters on behalf of the Board of North Wind Capital.
With over 17 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A and capital markets, Ms. Korotkikh has coordinated complex cross-border transactions and governance structures across multiple jurisdictions.
Prior to joining North Wind Capital, Ms. Korotkikh held senior legal roles at O1 Group and O1 Properties, where she was instrumental in major real estate transactions, IPOs, and Eurobond issuances. She started her career at Otkritie, a major financial group.
Ms. Korotkikh holds a Specialist in Law (LLM equivalent) from Moscow State Linguistic University, a Graduate Diploma in Project Management from Higher School of Economics and is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Commercial Law at the University of London. She is fluent in Russian, English, and Spanish.
Olga Kenny
Ms. Kenny is the Executive Assistant and Office Manager at North Wind Capital and oversees all scheduling and diary management for the CEO and Investment Director. As well as this, she provides day to day administrative support to the wider North Wind Capital team. She also oversees all HR and team events.
Ms. Kenny brings with her over 10 years EA experience, supporting industry leaders, partners, and CEO’s across various industries.
Ms. Kenny holds an BA (hons) from Sheffield University in Criminology.
Tim Kozhevnikov
Mr. Kozhevnikov is an Associate, Partner at North Wind Capital assisting with the underwriting and execution of new investments and overseeing the existing portfolio.
Prior to joining North Wind Capital Mr Kozhevnikov had gained 4 years of real estate investment experience working for firms including Best Star Real Estate, Cushman Wakefield and Hines.
Mr. Kozhevnikov holds a M.S. (Hons) in Real Estate from New York University.
Yana Burmistrova
Ms. Burmistrova is the Finance and Tax Manager at North Wind Capital, managing the budgeting, reporting and accounting activities of the group and our investment portfolio. In addition Ms. Burmistrova leads on structuring of new investments and ensuring compliance with evolving tax regulations.
With over 15 years of experience in UK and international taxation, Ms. Burmistrova has extensive expertise in corporate and individual tax planning, international tax structuring, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining North Wind Capital, Ms. Burmistrov held senior tax advisory positions at a London-based law firm and KPMG, advising high-net-worth individuals and multinational corporations on complex tax matters, including cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and tax-efficient structuring. She has successfully managed high-net-worth client portfolios and worked closely with HMRC, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and optimise tax strategies.
Ms. Burmistrova’s background also includes financial auditing, internal controls, and tax enforcement across multiple jurisdictions.
Ms. Burmistrova’s holds master’s degree in Accountancy and Auditing and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
